Cut pile carpets are made by cutting the loops of the thread in the weaving process to give a soft, luxurious feel. Tufted carpets are made from clumps or tufts of fibre drawn through a synthetic base and have a reputation for being tough and hard-wearing.
Woven carpets are made on a loom and that means they can incorporate complex patterns to give them an extra touch of style and luxury.
